The Perth Lynx will head east for their second match of their Semi Final Series on Tuesday, as they gear up to face the Bendigo Spirit in attempt to secure their spot in the Championship Series.
After playing their last two matches at home in Perth, the Lynx will travel to the Red Energy Arena to face the Spirit and their fans for the teams’ second match of the Series.
In a massive day out for the Lynx on their home court, the group held the Spirit back from stealing the win in Game One, with Ally Wilson (24 points, six rebounds, five assists), Anneli Maley (24 points, 13 rebounds, five assists) and Amy Atwell (17 points) making huge scoreboard contributions as they hunted down the win.
Keeping the Spirit down by 10 points (86-76), the Lynx line-up proved too strong for the Spirit, despite putting up a gutsy fight.
Izzy Borlase was her regular WNBL26 MVP self, tallying a massive 22 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists. Massive contributions from Spirit co-captain Kelsey Griffin, Abbey Wehrung and Megan McConnell, plus the return of Casey Samuels, will force the Lynx to dig deep in order to secure their second win of the Series.
With Tuesday’s game having the potential to end the reigning Champions’ WNBL26 season, the Lynx will bring their all to the Red Energy Arena, hoping to lock in their place in the Championship Series within two matches.
