Perth Lynx is back on the road for their second game of Round 4, heading east to face the Geelong Venom in Geelong.

It will be the team’s second match in 48 hours and the second time they’ve faced the Venom in just 10 days, but the Lynx come into this clash riding high after a thrilling come-from-behind win over Southside Flyers on Sunday night.

Trailing by double digits in the third quarter, Perth dug deep to claw their way back into the contest, with Ally Wilson and Anneli Maley leading the charge.  Despite missing most of the second half of her 250th milestone game a week ago, after suffering a broken nose early in the third term, Wilson dropped 14 points and 10rebounds, bringing composure to the backcourt, while Maley was once again named Player of the Game, after an incredible final term saw her finish the match with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Geelong, meanwhile, are still searching for consistency in the early stages of the 2025-26 WNBL campaign.  They showed plenty of fight in their last meeting with Perth, pushing the Lynx to the final possession in a 77–76 thriller. Mackenzie Holmes and Jaz Shelley continue to be bright spots for the Venom, combining for 58 points in their Round 2 win over Adelaide. Despite missing key players, Geelong have shown they can compete with anyone when they find rhythm early.

Perth will be looking to start strong and control the tempo from the outset, with Wilson’s inclusion plus Alex Ciabattoni’s return from an ankle injury return adding depth and flexibility to the rotation. The Lynx have shown they can win in different ways this season - whether it’s grinding out close finishes or running in transition - and will be aiming to extend their record to 5-1 to close our Round 4.

Tip-off is 7pm AEDT at Geelong Arena.
