The Perth Lynx will close out their WNBL26 regular season on Saturday afternoon in front of their home fans, when they take to the Perth HPC court against the Sydney Flames.

It was a gutsy win over the reigning Champions on the road last week, with the Lynx splitting away from the Bendigo Spirit in the second half of Sunday’s game, keeping Spirit star Izzy Borlase below 20 points (16 points, five assists) to sit comfortably ahead by 24-points at the final buzzer (64-88).

It was a huge day out for Amy Atwell, with her 23 scoreboard contributions (points) giving the Lynx the edge over the Spirit, whilst MVP contender, Anneli Maley, also more than chipped in with 13 points and 22 boards.

The Lynx now turn their attention to hunting down the Sydney Flames, who will be looking to conclude their WNBL26 season on a high, given they are now out of post-season contention. Strong Round 16 performances from Unique Thompson (22 points, 11 rebounds) and Agnes Emma-Nnopu (19 points, 8 rebounds) will force the Lynx to continue to put their best basketball out on court.

Whilst from afar the Semi Finals schedule looks largely locked in, it is still important for the Lynx to secure the win to cemet their top two position. With the number one (Townsville Fire) and three (Bendigo Spirit) positioned teams facing off in Round 17, with a win and some other results going their way, the Lynx have the potential to sweep into the top-of-the-table position.

Ready to put on a show in front of their home crowd, the Lynx will step onto the court ready to add a fourth win to their streak to conclude the WNBL regular season.
