The Perth Lynx will play their last regular season game away from home on Sunday evening, as they prepare to take on Bendigo Spirit at Red Energy Arena, in what will be the final leg of an epic three-game road trip.

The second and third placed teams - now both on equal standing; 16-5, after Bendigo's shock loss to the Venom on Friday - will battle it out on the court as they each fight to enter finals in a top 2 position.

The Lynx will step onto the Bendigo court for their only match of Round 16, off the back of a monumental win, producing a 32-point win over the Southside Melbourne Flyers in Melbourne on Tuesday. With Anneli Maley, Ally Wilson and Alex Ciabattoni each notching 20+ points onto the scoreboard, the Lynx handed the Flyers their biggest loss of the season, and notched 111 points offensively to boot.

With the victory landing the Lynx on the second rung of the ladder as the season inches closer to finals, only one loss separates the Perth team from the Townsville Fire at the top of the standings.

The Spirit were taken down by the Geelong Venom away from home on Friday night, falling by seven points (80-73). Keeping Spirit star Izzy Borlase (11 points, nine rebounds, five assists) and co-captain Kelsey Griffin (15 points, nine rebounds) significantly below their season averages, the Venom crept in front in the final term to take the win in one of the tightest contests of the season.

Taking the win over the Spirit in the team’s last meeting during Round 14 at home, the Lynx will be looking to replicate their victory and keep the reigning Champions down on their home court, as they continue on their hunt to claim the title of WNBL26 Champions.
