The Perth Lynx will kick off Round 12 at home in Perth, as they prepare to chase down their seventh uninterrupted win against the Adelaide Lightning.

Taking the court for the first time in the new year - as the league inches closer to naming the WNBL26 Champions - the Lynx will be on the hunt for victory after notching a monumental win against the Geelong Venom in Perth last round (106-78).

A special game in front of their Lynx fans, the Perth squad will be celebrating double-double queen Anneli Maley’s 150th WNBL game, giving them all the more motivation to fight for the win.

Huge Round 11 performances from Amy Atwell (23 points), Han Xu (22 points, five rebounds) and Maley (22 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists) presented yet another impenetrable contest, with the Perth team positioning themselves as one of the ones-to-beat as they reach finals contention.

Taking a huge 27-points victory over the sixth-ranked Lightning (82-109) only two weeks ago - in what was a masterclass game from Alex Ciabattoni (32 points) in front of the Adelaide native's home crowd - the Lynx will step onto the court on Friday with confidence.

Despite a Round 11 loss for the Lightning when they faced the South Melbourne Flyers (85-72), consistently fierce defensive prowess from Sania Feagin, Dallas Loughridge and Steph Talbot will keep the Lynx working hard to maintain their winning stamina.

With the opportunity to add another notch to their winning streak - and to potentially replace the formerly top-of-the-table Townsville Fire in second place on the ladder – the Lynx will bring their all to the Perth High Performance Centre for the first WNBL match of 2026.
