This will now see the club contest their third Championship Series in five years, as they chase their first title since 1992.

The Lynx impressed across what ended up being a two-game series, combining defensive discipline with balanced scoring and big‑game poise to book their spot on the League’s biggest stage.  They mowed down the Spirit at home in Game One (86-76), before backing up this same performance on the road with a 81-75 win in Game Two.

The Lynx are still awaiting to find out who their opposition will be in the Championship Series, with the Semi Final Series between the Townsville Fire and Southside Melbourne Flyers currently locked in a 1-1 stalemate, with third and deciding match of the series being played on Sunday afternoon.

In the Championship Series, typically the top-ranked team hosts Games One and Three (if a third game is required) of the series, whilst the second ranked team hosts Game Two.  However, regardless of the outcome of Game Three in the alternate Semi Final Series between the Fire and Flyers, Perth will host Game Two of the Championship Series due to venue unavailability on Thursday 26 February (the scheduled date for Game One).

If the Lynx are fortunate enough to be the higher-seeded team in the Championship Series, they will also host Game Three (if required).

As a result, the Lynx are thrilled to confirm that tickets for game two of the Championship Series – to be held at Perth High Performance Centre on Sunday 1 March – will go on sale tomorrow, Friday 20 February.

Perth Lynx General Manager, Chris Earl, said the club was thrilled to be competing on the League’s biggest stage and excited to bring a Championship Series game to the Perth HPC.

“We’re incredibly proud of how this group has performed throughout the season. Their ability to find another gear during the Semi Final Series against a high-quality Bendigo team speaks volumes about their composure and competitiveness, which has been a hallmark of our campaign. They’ve earned the right to compete for a Championship,” Earl said.

“The opportunity to host a Championship Series game at the Perth High Performance Centre means a great deal to our club. Our supporters have helped turn the Perth HPC into one of the most unique and exciting venues in the WNBL, and we’re excited to have the chance to play in front of our home fans once more.

“Whoever our opposition ends up being, we know it’s going to be a hotly contested series.  We also know the incredible lift the team gets from playing in front of a home crowd, and so we hope to see as many fans as possible packing out the Perth HPC on March 1.”
