Standing at 6’11” (210cm) and already a global force at just 25 years old, Xu’s arrival marks a significant moment for both the Lynx and the WNBL.
Her presence in the league further demonstrates the WNBL’s growing international reputation and ability to attract world-class talent.
Xu is one of the most accomplished players on the international stage.
A two-time Olympian and 2022 FIBA World Cup silver medallist, she has been central to China’s recent success. She has also collected gold, silver and bronze in the 2021, 2023, and 2025 FIBA Women’s Asia Cups, earning All-Star Five honours in 2025.
Drafted 14th overall by the New York Liberty in 2019, Xu spent three seasons in the WNBA and was part of the club’s 2023 Commissioner’s Cup Championship.
In the WCBA, she dominated with Sichuan, winning back-to-back titles (2023 and 2024) and claiming two MVP awards.
Now, in her first season in Australia, Xu is ready to bring her elite skillset to the Lynx.
