Tonight’s opening game of the series between the Lynx and the Townsville Fire will be broadcast live and free on 9NOW, and as well as live and on‑demand on ESPN, with tip-off scheduled for 4pm AWST.

Game 2, to be played this Sunday with a 1pm AWST tip-off, will also be broadcast live on 9NOW and ESPN. Adding to the excitement, Lachy Reid - one of Western Australia’s most recognisable sports voices - will return to the mic as the courtside announcer for Game 2. His return to a WA basketball final brings a nostalgic and electric boost to Sunday’s Championship atmosphere.

If required, the best-of-three series will go to a third game, to be held in Townsville on Wednesday 4 March.

Chris Earl, General Manager of the Perth Lynx, said the sell out was a reward for not only the team on the court, but those working behind-the-scenes as well.

“It is absolutely fantastic to be hosting a Grand Final game at the Perth High Performance Centre,” Earl said. "To see it sell out for a Championship Series speaks volumes about the connection this team has built with our community and the appetite for women’s basketball in Western Australia. It’s a special moment for everyone involved with the club.”

“It’s a massive day for women’s sport in Perth this Sunday. To sell out our Championship Series game on the same day as the Matildas opening Asia Cup game highlights the exponential growth of women’s sport. The momentum we’re building at the Perth Lynx is real, and moments like this reinforce why visibility, belief and opportunity at the elite level matter.”

“It’s remarkable how far this club has come in just two years under the shared ownership model between SEN and Jodi [Millhan] and Hauffy [Christian Hauff],” Earl continued. “We’ve doubled our membership, doubled crowd attendance, moved our home games to the Perth HPC, built stronger commercial foundations, and grown our revenue. This sell out is another milestone that reflects the momentum we’re building, on and off the court.”
