Experienced Peters commits to Perth Lynx for WNBL27

The Perth Lynx are pleased to announce that Haley Peters has committed to the club for the upcoming WNBL27 season, subject to WNBL review and approval.

The experienced forward joins the Lynx after most recently suiting up for the Southside Melbourne Flyers in the WNBL, adding a wealth of professional experience to Perth's roster.

Peters brings an extensive basketball résumé, having competed across the WNBA, WNBL and some of Europe's premier competitions.  She returned to the WNBA in 2025 with the Connecticut Sun, appearing in 33 games, including two starts, and has also spent time with the San Antonio Stars, Washington Mystics and Atlanta Dream.

The versatile forward has built a highly respected international career, playing professionally in France, Spain, Turkey and Italy, while also becoming a familiar face in Australian basketball through her time in the WNBL. Peters will also reunite with fellow Lynx recruit Nya Lok, with the pair having recently played together at the Southside Melbourne Flyers.

Peters said she was excited by the opportunity to join the Lynx for the upcoming season.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the Perth Lynx for WNBL27," Peters said.

"The club has built a strong reputation around professionalism, competitiveness and development, and I'm looking forward to contributing to that environment.

"I've always enjoyed playing in Australia and the WNBL is one of the best leagues in the world. I'm excited to get to Perth, meet my teammates and coaches, and do whatever I can to help the team achieve success this season."

Perth Lynx Head Coach, Ryan Petrik, said Peters' experience and versatility would be a valuable addition to the group.

"Haley is a proven professional who has competed at a high level around the world for a long time," Petrik said.

"She brings a tremendous amount of experience, versatility and basketball IQ to our roster. Having played in the WNBA, throughout Europe and in the WNBL, she understands what it takes to perform in different environments and consistently contribute to winning teams.

"We're excited about the leadership and stability she'll bring to our frontcourt, while also providing flexibility at both ends of the floor. Haley is the type of player who makes those around her better, and we're looking forward to welcoming her to Perth."

Peters joins Alex Ciabattoni, Steph Gorman, Nya Lok, Anneli Maley, Teige Morrell and Sami Whitcomb as players already locked into the Perth Lynx roster for the WNBL27 season.
