Ciabattoni returns to the Lynx following a career‑best campaign in WNBL26, playing a pivotal role in one of the deepest and most talented line‑ups in the League as the Lynx surged all the way to the Grand Final Series.
Across WNBL26, Ciabattoni delivered her most productive season statistically, averaging 15.1 points per game across the regular season, while shooting efficiently and providing two‑way impact at both ends of the floor. Her scoring, versatility and composure were key features of a Lynx side that finished near the top of the ladder and thrived in finals basketball.
Her standout season was recognised with a string of major honours, finishing runner‑up in the Perth Lynx MVP, earning selection in the WNBL All‑Star Second Team of the Year, and reaching the significant milestone of 150 career WNBL games.
Ciabattoni’s influence extended into the postseason, where she continued to play heavy minutes within a star‑studded starting group as the Lynx eliminated the Bendigo Spirit in the Semi Finals before advancing to the Championship Series.
Perth Lynx General Manager, Chris Earl, said retaining Ciabattoni was a major priority for the club heading into WNBL27.
“Alex produced an elite season and was a huge part of what we were able to achieve as a team,” Earl said.
“Her consistency, competitiveness and leadership stood out all year, and she showed she can thrive alongside some of the best players in the League. We’re excited to have her back as we continue building toward another Championship run.”
Ciabattoni said she was thrilled to continue her journey with the Lynx.
“This past season was incredibly special, both personally and as a team,” Ciabattoni said.
“The environment at the Lynx, the belief from the coaches and the connection within the group made it such a rewarding year. I’m hungry to keep building on that, and I can’t wait to get back on court with the team for WNBL27.”
Ciabattoni joins Anneli Maley - the Perth Lynx MVP and WNBL MVP runner‑up for the 2026-27 season - as players already locked into the Perth Lynx roster for WNBL27.
